ASEANSAI convened the Development Partners Coordination Meeting (DCM) on 12 November 2025 during the 8th ASEANSAI Summit in Singapore. The meeting brought together ASEANSAI Committees, the ASEANSAI Secretariat, and development partners to strengthen dialogue, align priorities, and explore future cooperation under the ASEANSAI Strategic Plan 2026 to 2029.

The meeting was opened by the ASEANSAI Chair, represented by Director Danilo Cabug of the Commission on Audit of the Republic of the Philippines, who highlighted the importance of development partnerships in strengthening Supreme Audit Institutions across the ASEAN region. The Head of the ASEANSAI Secretariat, Mr Syamsudin, reaffirmed ASEANSAI’s commitment to collaboration as the organization enters a new strategic phase.

 

ASEANSAI presented an overview of its mandate, governance structure, and strategic objectives, followed by presentations from the Strategic Planning Committee, Knowledge Sharing Committee, and Training Committee. The Committees outlined their flagship programmes and work plans for 2026 to 2027, focusing on capacity development, knowledge sharing, audit quality, digital innovation, and institutional strengthening.

Development partners welcomed ASEANSAI’s strategic direction and shared perspectives on potential areas of cooperation, including training, research, audit quality management, big data, and anti-corruption initiatives. The discussion emphasized the importance of aligning ASEANSAI priorities with development partners’ cooperation frameworks.

 
 

Development partners participating in the meeting included the Swedish National Audit Office, the National Audit Office of the People’s Republic of China, the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, the Asian Development Bank, the Canadian Audit and Accountability Foundation, the International Budget Partnership, and the International Foundation for Electoral Systems.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to continue coordination and follow-up engagement. The outcomes of the Development Partners Coordination Meeting will be reported to the ASEANSAI Summit, reinforcing ASEANSAI’s partnership-driven approach to promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance in the ASEAN region.
