ASEANSAI, as an ASEAN-associated entity, contributed to the 17th Coordinating Conference for the ASEAN Political-Security Community (ASCCO) held on 22 August 2025 at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta. The annual forum brought together senior officials, ASEAN organs, and entities associated with ASEAN to review the implementation of the ASEAN Political-Security Community (APSC) Blueprint 2025 and discuss the region’s future under ASEAN 2045: Our Shared Future.
As part of the agenda, the ASEAN Secretariat presented the End-Term Review (ETR) of the APSC Blueprint 2025, marking the completion of the ASEAN Community Vision 2025. The ETR assesses the progress, challenges, and achievements of the community’s political and security pillars, using the Framework for Assessment and Review previously applied in the Mid-Term Review (MTR) in 2020.
In this context, ASEANSAI was invited to provide an intervention on the Implementation of the APSC Blueprint 2025 by presenting its assessment of contributions to the implementation. The assessment highlighted ASEANSAI’s work promoting accountability, transparency, integrity, and good governance, particularly through knowledge sharing, capacity development, and cooperative audits among ASEAN Supreme Audit Institutions.
ASEANSAI’s engagement in ASCCO signalled its strong commitment to align with ASEAN’s strategic direction. With the conclusion of the ASEAN Community Vision 2025, ASEANSAI expressed its readiness to continue contributing to the next phase of cooperation under the roadmap toward ASEAN 2045, supporting ASEAN’s vision of a peaceful, stable, and resilient region that upholds accountability and good governance.
