H.E. Tan Sri Dr. Madinah Mohamad is the Auditor General of Malaysia effective from 23rd February 2017. Prior to this, she held the position as the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education since 2013. She succeeds H.E. Tan Sri Ambrin Buang whose term of office expired on 22nd February 2017.
Prior to her current position, H.E. Tan Sri Dr. Madinah had vast working experience in various government agencies such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Public Service Department, Ministry of National and Rural Development, Ministry of Works, and the National Unity and Integration Department of the Prime Minister’s Department. She was also the former Secretary General of Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation from April 2009 to June 2013. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Universiti Sains Malaysia and a master’s degree and a PhD in Human Resource Development from Universiti Putra Malaysia.
