ASEAN Supreme Audit Institutions (ASEANSAI) held the 8th ASEANSAI Summit on 13 November 2025 in Marina Bay, Singapore. The Summit served as the highest decision-making forum of ASEANSAI, bringing together the Heads of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) from all ASEAN member states to discuss strategic priorities and endorse key organizational decisions for the coming term.<\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting was opened with an address by Ms. Indranee Rajah, Minister in the Prime Minister\u2019s Office, Second Minister for Finance, and Second Minister for National Development of Singapore, followed by remarks from the Auditor General of SAI Singapore and the Chairperson of SAI Philippines. The session also featured pre-recorded messages from the Chair of ASOSAI and the Secretary-General of ASEAN, reflecting the strong regional partnership between ASEANSAI and its associated entities.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the Summit, members endorsed the ASEANSAI Strategic Plan 2026\u20132029 and approved the Work Plans of ASEANSAI Committees and Secretariat for 2026\u20132027, marking an important milestone for the organization\u2019s institutional development. The meeting also approved the 2026\u20132027 activities budget, and reviewed reports from the Committees, Executive Committee, Secretariat, and the Development-Partners Coordination Meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another significant highlight was the appointment of new leadership for the 2025\u20132027 term, with SAI Singapore assuming the role of ASEANSAI Chairperson, and SAI Thailand appointed as Vice-Chairperson. These transitions follow ASEANSAI\u2019s principle of leadership rotation in alphabetical order among member SAIs. <\/span><\/p>\n

All ASEANSAI member SAIs were represented, reflecting strong regional unity. Timor-Leste, the newly admitted member of ASEAN, also joined the meeting as an observer, reaffirming ASEANSAI\u2019s commitment to inclusivity and expanded engagement in the region.
