The highlight was the 8th ASEANSAI Senior Officials\u2019 Meeting (SOM), held on 9\u201310 July 2025 in Manila, Philippines.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7818 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aseansai.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/SOM-1-1024x466.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"466\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.aseansai.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/SOM-1-1024x466.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.aseansai.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/SOM-1-300x136.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.aseansai.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/SOM-1-768x349.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.aseansai.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/SOM-1.jpg 1455w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The meeting brought together 27 delegates from the ten ASEANSAI member SAIs and produced key resolutions, including deliberations on the ASEANSAI Strategic Plan 2026\u20132029, revised Rules and Procedures, thJe Training Committee Framework, and the ASEANSAI Work Plan 2026\u20132027. Other institutional matters discussed included the appointment of committee chairs and members, the 2026\u20132027 budget, the designation of SAI Myanmar as ASEANSAI Auditor for 2024\u20132025, and the election of SAI Thailand as Vice-Chairperson for 2025\u20132026.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-7817 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aseansai.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/SOM-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.aseansai.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/SOM-2.jpg 350w, https:\/\/www.aseansai.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/SOM-2-300x251.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The SOM further served as a platform to prepare for the leadership transition from SAI Philippines to SAI Singapore, the incoming ASEANSAI Chair. A Pre-Handover Meeting was held on 10 July 2025 to coordinate responsibilities, finalize the ASEANSAI Commemoration Book, and review preparations for the 8th ASEANSJAI Summit. During the handover, ASEANSAI constituents, including the gavel, flag, and nameplate, were transferred to SAI Singapore.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The SOM&#8217;s outcomes will be presented for formal adoption at the 8th ASEANSAI Summit in Singapore, which will be held from 11 to 14 November 2025.
