The workshop, part of the ASEANSAI Training Committee 2025 Work Plan, showed ASEANSAI\u2019s strong commitment to building audit capacity across the region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7807 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aseansai.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/image-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"992\" height=\"469\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.aseansai.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/image-3.png 992w, https:\/\/www.aseansai.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/image-3-300x142.png 300w, https:\/\/www.aseansai.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/image-3-768x363.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 992px) 100vw, 992px\" \/><br \/>\nThe program commenced with remarks from Olympia P. Balugay, Director IV of the Commission on Audit of the Philippines, followed by an opening speech from Yudi Ramdan Budiman, Director General of BPK\u2019s Education and Training Center. On the first day, participants also joined a panel discussion, \u201cStakeholders\u2019 Experience on Budget Credibility\u201d, featuring perspectives from BPK, the Ministry of Finance, and the International Budget Partnership (IBP).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The workshop brought together auditors from Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) in Brunei Darussalam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Thailand. Several organizations also joined the discussion, including the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), the International Budget Partnership, the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance (AHA Centre), ASEAN Parties Against Corruption (ASEAN-PAC), and the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the following sessions, SAI Philippines, SAI Malaysia, and SAI Indonesia shared technical training on audit methodologies, planning, and reporting strategies. Participants also exchanged ideas on common regional challenges, such as political influence, global economic uncertainty, and limited institutional capacity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The workshop underlined the importance of SAIs working together to share knowledge, develop common audit standards, and build stronger regional networks. With fiscal challenges that cross borders\u2014like global crises and climate change\u2014ASEANSAI provides an important platform to strengthen oversight and cooperation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nBy the end of the forum, ASEANSAI members reaffirmed their commitment to promoting fiscal transparency, strengthening budget credibility, and ensuring public accountability.
