On December 19, 2024, ASEANSAI held its Annual Monitoring and Evaluation Meeting (AMEM) virtually, chaired by SAI Vietnam as the leader of the Strategic Planning Committee. The meeting brought together ASEANSAI Committees, the Secretariat, and experts from the Swedish National Audit Office (Swedish NAO). The primary objectives were to review the committees’ 2024 activities and finalize the ASEANSAI Annual Progress Report 2024. Swedish NAO also participated to gain insights into ASEANSAI\u2019s Monitoring and Evaluation System (MES) and provide input for developing the ASEANSAI Strategic Plan 2026\u20132029 and revising the MES.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Annual Progress Report 2024 discussion highlighted significant progress toward achieving ASEANSAI\u2019s Strategic Vision and Mission 2022\u20132025. Key accomplishments included successfully implementing 27 out of 32 planned activities, focusing on capacity building, knowledge sharing, international cooperation, and adaptive internal governance. <\/span><\/p>\n

Notable achievements included the completion of the Learning and Development Framework and Coaching and Mentoring Strategy, the organization of workshops on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), environmental management, and Voluntary National Reviews (VNR), the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Swedish NAO to strengthen international collaboration and active participation in ASEAN-related events. ASEANSAI also forged new partnerships with stakeholders such as the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES).<\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting underscored ASEANSAI\u2019s dedication to advancing public sector accountability and sustainable development through robust programs, strategic partnerships, and strengthened internal systems. The outcomes of AMEM will guide ASEANSAI\u2019s future initiatives, ensuring alignment with its mission to promote good governance across the ASEAN region.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
