The meeting which was attended by 10<br \/>\nparticipants from SAI of Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam is an essential step in<br \/>\nthe development of ASEANSAI\u2019s Strategic Plan.<\/p>\n<p>The work of the Committee is based on the IDI\u2019s guidance on strategic planning<br \/>\nand ASEANSAI agreement. Prior to the meeting, the Committee had circulated<br \/>\nthe survey to assess ASEANSAI member\u2019s needs. The survey assessed 7 domains<br \/>\nwhich covered almost every necessary information within an organization relating<br \/>\nto independence and legal framework, human resources, audit methodology<br \/>\nand standards, leadership and internal governance, administrative support,<br \/>\nexternal stakeholder relations. Through the survey, the Committee had been<br \/>\nable to identify the gaps and main concern of each SAIs for every domain to<br \/>\ndetermine ASEANSAI\u2019s main issues. Strategic goals, strategic objectives and key<br \/>\nperformance indicators were then formulated to address each main issue.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed Vision, Mission and Values of the ASEANSAI are as follows:<br \/>\n\u25cf Vision: \u201cTo be a recognized auditing professional association in<br \/>\npromoting good governance in ASEAN region\u201d<br \/>\n\u25cf Mission: ASEANSAI is an autonomous, independent, professional and<br \/>\nnon-political organization\/association established to:<br \/>\n1. Promote cooperation among the members of ASEANSAI<br \/>\n2. Establish constructive and beneficial relation with ASEAN and other<br \/>\ninternational stakeholders<br \/>\n\u25cf Values: Respect, Professionalism, Partnership<br \/>\nAfterwards, the Strategic Planning Committee will seek comments from the<br \/>\nmembers and aligning the draft with the plan prepared by other committees<br \/>\nto finalize the Strategic Plan. Additionally, the Committee is planning to<br \/>\nheld the next meeting in October, 2012 where the draft Strategic Plan, the<br \/>\nimplementation matrix and the development of a system to monitor and evaluate<br \/>\nthe implementation of the Strategic Plan will be discussed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The ASEANSAI Strategic Planning Committee meeting was held in Hanoi, Vietnam from 14th to 17th May, 2012.
