In relation to the development and finalization of the 2022-2025 ASEANSAI Strategic Plan and the Implementation Matrix by the ASEANSAI Strategic Planning Committee (SPC), a virtual Training Committee (TC) Meeting was held on 19 July 2021. The purposes of the meeting were to discuss and finalize the Strategic Plan activities of the TC relating to Strategic Objectives (SOs) 1.1. and 1.2. which would also be reported in the forthcoming 6th ASEANSAI Senior Officials’ Meeting on 27 to 29 July 2021.
SAI Philippines as the Chair of TC hosted and led the meeting with the participation of around 14 representatives from 4 ASEANSAI member countries. The meeting covered the discussion and suggestion on review and update training process materials and programs, development and encouragement the use of online training tools/platforms, expansion of training to cover the new audit areas and types meeting based on needs of member SAIs, and development of the quality of the pool of the internal and external source Experts.
After the meeting, participants agreed for SAI Philippines as the Chair of TC to finalize the implementation matrix on the SOs 1.1. and 1.2. based on meetings’ suggestions and agreed to have another meeting to discuss the updated matrix in August and/or September 2021.
