INTOSAI’s Capacity Building Committee (CBC) and the INTOSAI-Donor Cooperation (IDC) welcome participants to the first contiguous meetings of the CBC and IDC Steering Committee takes place in Cape Town, South Africa, from 3―6 October 2016, hosted by AGSA South Africa. SAI Philippines was invited to represent ASEANSAI in its capacity as the Chair of ASEANSAI Training Committee and Project Leader for the ISSAI Implementation Programme in ASEANSAI (LTAPII).

CBC Chair opened the meeting on 3 October 2016 by delivering an overview of CBC highlights of the last three years; future challenges and opportunities for capacity development. The meeting continued with the open discussion session, the participants have the opportunity to comment and give their views on the key capacity development issues.

In the second day, the joint session brings the theme: “Maximizing SAI cooperation in support of capacity development”, and continue with the sharing experience session. In this occasion, ASEANSAI was present the Long-Term ASEANSAI Programme on ISSAI Implementation (LTAPII) – a case of joint training.
