The State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV) hosted the LTAPII – Workshop on Risk-based Audit Approach in Financial Audit in Ha Noi, from 3 to 13 October 2015. The workshop was opened by H.E. Mr. Doan Xuan Tien, Deputy Auditor General SAV and attended by 47 persons, consisting of participants and mentors from nine SAIs of ASEANSAI and one Subject Matter Expert from Swedish National Audit Office (SNAO). Supported by the German Government through Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, this workshop is a part of LTAPII series of events held after the completion of the online audit plan.
Prior to this workshop, all of the participants have attended the online audit plan or e-learning course thorugh ASEANSAI e-learning website on end of August until mid of September 2015. Each of the participants were required to complete the module and submit its assignment onto the website by the end of each week. As a follow up of the e-learning course, the participants attended this workshop to present each audit plan to get direct input form other participants and review from their mentors and the expert. During the two-weeks workshop, the participants also learned and discussed about stage of the auditing, starting from the planinng process, executing and the audit report.
By attending this workshop, each SAI have to prepare their audit plan which will be implemented during January – May 2016. In conducting the audit, all participantas are also encouraged to discuss any issues raised during the audit with their mentor or Subject Matter Expert through online and onsite support. At the end of the programme, it is expected that each participants have been capable to conduct a financial audit from planning, executing and reporting stage based on ISSAI.
