In preparation of the conduct of the ASEANSAI General Assembly Meeting which will be held in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam from 6 to 7 November 2013, ASEANSAI Secretariat conducted the 2ndASEANSAI Assembly Meeting as a parallel meeting with the XXI INCOSAI in Beijing, China.
Attended by 25 delegations from 10 ASEANSAI member states, 2ndASEANSAI Assembly Meeting was conducted on October 25, 2013 in China National Convention Centre (CNCC), Beijing, China. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss technical matters which will be endorsed on the ASEANSAI General Assembly Meeting to ensure smooth transfer of Chairmanship from Hadi Poernomo, the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia to Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman Bin Pengiran Haji Mat Salleh, Jabatan Audit Brunei Darussalam.
Led by the Chairman of ASEANSAI for period 2011 – 2013, Hadi Poernomo, and accompanied by the Head of Secretariat 2011 – 2013, Hendar Ristriawan, the meeting resulted that the Assembly agreed on Logo Golden Paddy with globe and ASEAN map will be ASEANSAI’s Logo that will be used for the first time in Brunei Darussalam. The Assembly also agreed that ASEANSAI Song will be endorsed in Brunei Darussalam.
The other issues which resulted by the meeting was the SAI of Vietnam will revise and circulate the ASEANSAI Strategic Plan based on the comments and inputs before its endorsement in ASEANSAI General Assembly Meeting in Brunei Darussalam. Then, the SAI of Singapore will revise and circulate the Rules and Procedures before its endorsement in ASEANSAI General Assembly Meeting in Brunei Darussalam. The Rules and Procedures will incorporate the necessary points about the Permanent Secretariat and Administration Office after the Assembly’s approval is obtained.
The last important thing, the Assembly agreed for the establishment of the Permanent Secretariat and Administration Office and the SAI of Indonesia’s proposal to be the Permanent Secretariat.
